Rescue Control Center of the City of Vienna
The Vienna Rescue Emergency Call Center coordinates all emergency rescue operations in the federal capital. Operated by the Vienna Professional Rescue Service, around 1,100 emergency calls are processed every day and operations are forwarded to its own rescue vehicles or other rescue organizations. STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions supplied the necessary control center technology and thus contributes significantly to the high operational readiness and reliability of emergency call handling in Vienna.
The operating equipment of the NGS3600 was integrated into the existing furniture, while the core system was coupled with the newly built secur.CAD system.
The remarkable functions of the supplied communication management system were implemented during operation of the control center and enable complete integration of the digital radio functions of the Motorola TETRA network into the communication infrastructure of the control center.
The workstations are fully equipped communication workstations based on the CDI3603 dispatcher interface, consisting of touch panels and several intercom and monitoring options.
Three fixed locations and a mobile control center
The system comprises a total of three locations and a mobile control center. It consists of an operations control system with integrated GIS and emergency query system, as well as a bed management system for the City of Vienna's emergency beds in a dual redundant design. Furthermore, a VoIP communication management system NGS3600 is integrated in a fully redundant design for BRI/PRI lines, which includes 22 voice interfaces for the TETRA connection, 8 radio interfaces for analog and digital radio connections and a fax server.
An alarm server (for fax, e-mail, POCSAG paging, SMS and SDS) ensures that alarms are raised, while a distributed voice recording system with central data retrieval records the communication. The equipment includes consoles with electric height adjustment and touch panels. The voice switching system also includes a tour alerting system for the rescue stations.
The TETRA control center gateway and system management ensure functionality, while a statistics database is used to evaluate all operational and medical system data. There are interfaces to third-party systems such as the Vienna GIS for geodata import and WebMapService, the AMBAS billing database and third-party dispatch systems.
