Powerful and highly integrated multimedia recording with the MMR3680

The Multimedia Recording MMR3680 is a fully integrated feature of the NGS3600, enabling IP-based recording, research, playback and archiving of various communication channels within the NGS3600.

Functional Subcomponents

Functionalities in Detail

The MMR3680 is installed in virtual environments or on dedicated servers and can be deployed across multiple locations – including local, geo-redundant or multi-control center sites.

The query in the sense of search and replay of historical recordings as long-term recordings is carried out via web clients, which are equipped with appropriate access protection and a permission management system. The short-term recording feature, designed for quick and easy call retrieval, is fully integrated into the dispatcher interface of the NGS3600, providing seamless access for users.

Recording can be configured as mandatory or on-demand via SIPREC or RTP. For BRI/PRI or analog lines, recording is done via IP stream and/or media gateways.

Depending on configuration and requirements, the system captures and records telephone calls (including conferences), radio communications (via TETRA gateway/digital radio and TETRA FRTs or other radio circuits), public address systems (PA), intercoms, video and text communication (chats, translations, SMS, TETRA SDS), as well as workstations. All recorded data is made available for replay and research purposes.

All workstations of the NGS3600 are considered as configured workstations, which means that exception or overflow workstations can also be included. Additionally, emergency telephone systems can be integrated via SIPREC. Each recording contains all available metadata and call details, allowing selective search and analysis.

If, for example, an incident number is provided by the CAD, it can be transferred via the CTI interface and linked directly to the corresponding recording. This allows searches and evaluations based on the incident number and also enables playback of associated calls directly on the CAD client.

Dispatcher Integration

The last-call repeater functionality enables quick and easy conversation retrieval directly from the user interface at the workstation. Recorded conversations are provided by the multimedia recording system MMR3680 and played back at the workstation according to the defined playback parameters. No conversations are stored locally on the workstations.

Access to last-call repeater functionality documentation is available via the call journal and is therefore accessible for any authorized client or user. Only conversations of the logged-in user are available, although users with appropriate administrative rights can access all conversations.

Web-based Search and Replay & Administration

The web-based search and replay client provides a tabular view of conversations, featuring extensive, configurable search and filter options. The filtered conversations can be exported with certificate and signature file or replayed directly using the integrated player.

Administration of the MMR3680 is carried out via a secure web portal. The permission management system allows a selective user authorization and offers comprehensive basic configuration settings.
