Communication without limits with SISS radio technology

Whether voice or data communication as well as directional radio links – whenever conventional communication tools are unavailable or impractical, radio systems ensure uninterrupted communication.

This makes them the preferred choice for establishing nationwide networks designed to maintain communication during emergency situations. In the event of natural disasters or rescue operations, these systems enable emergency personnel to stay connected with each other and with the appropriate command center.

For industries or railway operators, outdoor radio systems also ensure reliable communication over long distances and secure operational processes – for example, across extensive industrial sites, multiple company locations, or along railway lines.

Radio Standards & Technologies

Depending on the requirements or existing infrastructure, we deploy different or combined radio technologies that are either newly installed or integrated into existing radio networks.

    Directional Radio Link

Directional radio links enable network connectivity over long distances. They are especially used in alpine, rural or extensive areas where laying cables is not possible, highly complex, or economically unviable.

For over 50 years, STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions has been planning, installing, and maintaining both analog and digital microwave radio links in the frequency range from 1.5 GHz to 38 GHz. Our core areas include PDH/SDH and IP systems as well as wireless broadband systems (point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and multiplexers with various interfaces such as 2/4 wire, IP, ISDN, E1).

Whether you want to network multiple company sites, need a reliable backup solution for your networks, or aim to provide broadband internet in remote areas – our directional radio link systems offer the perfect solution. With rapid deployment, high reliability and support for high data transmission rates, they are the perfect choice for modern communication infrastructures.

    Data Communication

Data communication means the wireless transmission of data between machines over a radio link and can be implemented using various radio technologies such as TETRA, DMR, WLAN, and more.

Wherever information exchange occurs – for example with sensors – data radio solutions can be used. Typical applications include industrial automation and environmental monitoring. Data is captured and transmitted in real-time, ensuring that users always have access to the latest information. These monitoring, transmission, and control functions are especially important for water and energy utilities, emergency organizations, and public transportation.

STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions offers a wide range of narrowband and broadband technologies and end devices for transmission, visualization and control – whether for stationary or mobile use.

Our solutions are designed to grow with your business, whether by integrating new locations or connecting additional sensors – our data radio systems provide the flexibility and scalability you need.
